  1. Place your dates and almonds in a food processor or really strong blender.
  2. Pulse until your dates and almonds are in small chunks and transfer to a mixing bowl
  3. Add in all remaining ingredients and using your hands, mix well to ensure an even coating of everything
  4. Once mixed, using parchment paper, flatten out your mixture to the size of bars your want or you can use individual ziploc bags and form them inside the bag
  5. Place in refrigerator and let cool, then enjoy
  6. I keep mine refrigerated or frozen until I want to eat them, good luck having them last more than a day :)

  1. I’ve seen some recipies wherein suggests soaking the nuts then dehydrating them in the oven…is that an unnecessary step?

  2. Do you mean whole cloves or ground cloves? By the way I just made your banana cake and it was fantastic and so easy. It is now my go to paleo banana bread! Thank you

  3. The coconut oil made ours a little bit greasy. I rolled them in unsweetened cocoa powder and they tasted like chocolate truffles. We tried another batch without the coconut oil and added cayenne powder instead of the cinnamon/nutmeg/clove and that was also a huge hit.

    1. That sounds amazing, so glad you got them to work and people loved them :) I never realize the coconut oil being too much as I keep mine refrigerated and also depending on the size of the dates etc the moisture changes.

  4. Yum! I’ve never added sea salt to mine, but I’m thinking that is a must do for my next batch.

    Thanks for linking up today!

  5. I am so excited to find this recipe. They have stopped making our favorite, which is Cinnamon Roll. This looks like it might work. Thanks so much!

  6. My whole family Loves these. They are so fast and easy to make my 10 yr old has made them for him self :). Thank you!!!

  7. Which paddle/blade did you use with the Ninja? What type of dates did you use? I had a hard time chopping the almonds up and the dates were sticky, but they still turned out amazing and I even put too much nutmeg in. Thanks, awesome recipe!!
