Your Weekly Meal Plan – 4/4/14

I am so happy I asked if you wanted meal plans.  It makes my heart happy reading all of your amazing responses to these weekly Paleo menus and associated shopping lists.  The intention was to give you a quick and easy weekend game plan, but you can use these guides in a ton of different ways.  Some of you are picking and choosing a couple of recipes to add into your cooking rotation, others are making double batches in order to enjoy leftovers during the busy work-week.  Whatever is right for you, I hope this frees up time in your busy life and brings more fun and creativity into your kitchen. We are going to continue to take in your feedback, work hard and deliver the best product we can for you.  And now on to this weeks meal plan.  You can download it by clicking on the image below:

My big secret for weekend enjoyment and week-long success, is making extra food and doing prep work throughout the weekend so I don’t have to worry about meals or planning on Mondays after I have had a hectic day. With this week’s meal plan, you can make up a few stuffed sweet potatoes and the lemon pound cake, then alternate between a sweet and savory breakfast each morning. The latest recipe I shared for Salisbury steak from The Ancestral Table is perfect for a classic Sunday dinner. Your only limit is your imagination, so get creative and leave me a comment with what you made this weekend. I can’t wait to read them.

  1. Hi! I am month 12 post LapBand surgery. I have lost 100+ pounds with many more to go. My weight gain wasn’t due to laziness and over eating, it was injury, pain, depression and not eating regularly. So, I am on a plateau with my weightloss and I need a good meal plan that will help me jump start my weightloss again. Paleo looks promising, but I cant eat seafood. Plus I am restricted with my lapband on portions and sometimes the hardness and texture of food. Any suggestions? You seem to have a really expansive grip on this lifestyle and an amazing website! Thanks!

  2. Wow! These look great! Thanks for making meal planning simple! I’m trying the Salisbury steak tonight! Yum!!!

  3. I made the sweet potato dish on Saturday night and I thought it was amazing, all those gorgeous flavours – sweet & smoky with the bacon – this is going on my fave list of foods.

  5. Hi! Thanks for all the information you provide. I’ve tried some of your recipes before, but this is the first time I’ve attempted to follow your meal plans. I did have a question: Do I get to decide which recipe I want for whatever meal I feel like, or is there a little more structure to it that I’m missing? Thanks again!

  6. This is great! So glad I found you and THESE!!! Did you take these pics or did u hire a food photographer? Looks like you could eat it right off the screen! The potatoes looks sooooo gooooood! I love potatoes! Thanks for the ideas!

  7. I’ve made the lemon pound cake before and it is delicious!!! Now you’ve gotten me to tag the salisbury steak recipe in my copy of The Ancetral Table. Looks awesome. And so easy to make.
