Strawberry Peach Cobbler

I had a special request, so you are now blessed with a super easy and delicious Paleo Cobbler.  We didn’t know what flavor we were going to do, so when in doubt, we headed to the farmers market and just started tasting all the yummy goodness and settled on Strawberries and Peaches.  What a great choice because after it came out of the oven, we topped it with my Paleo Chocolate Ice Cream and the rest is history.  Enjoy

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
  2. Peel your peaches and dice them as well as dicing your strawberries
  3. Place your fruit, water, and honey in a sauce pan on your stove and bring to a boil stirring often.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes
  5. Melt your ghee in the bottom of your cake pan
  6. Once your fruit is done, add your fruit to the cake pan and set aside
  7. Combine your almond flour, coconut oil, and egg in a mixing bowl and mix well. It will stay chunky
  8. Spoon your crumbled mixture over the top of all your fruit and then bake in the oven for 35 minutes
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool
  10. Serve with a scoop of awesome Paleo Chocolate Ice Cream
  11. Enjoy

    I made this cobbler yesterday for a Mother’s Day function (otherwise I would not have been able to eat any sweets for the celebration) and I must say that I am ‘in love’ with this recipe!
    I’m new to the Paleo/Glutten world and having this dish taste soooo good makes me feel that I am not losing out – goodbye old world of eating, I’m all yours Paleo!

  2. Upnorth for a week fishing in Canada and my Paleo Dad and I wanted to make something sweet. Found this recipe upon searching with what limited ingredients we had. Omitted the honey and used 1 cup almond meal/ 1/2 cup coconut flour with peaches, a banana, apples, and strawberries. Absolutely fantastic, thank you so much Civilized Caveman! Perfect recipe that my whole family enjoyed, even the non-paleo eaters! Sweet enough without they honey for sure!

  3. Hi I have a friend who is allergic to coconut what can you use in place of the oil? It has been really hard trying to find sweets without it…any info would help greatly

      You may have figured this out already– but ghee is just clarified butter.. you can sub butter or whatever oil you have..

  5. Cassandra, my local farmers hear have cinnamon infused raw organic honey. If you don't have it, just use raw organic honey and flavor it with cinnamon :)

  6. I have never heard of cinnamon honey. I tried googling it but didn't get an answer. Can you please explain?

    One month paleo today! I am looking for a potluck dish and would like at least one thing to eat that would be paleo! Hope to give this a shot.

  7. I hope this doesn't upset Cavegirl, but I think I love you! I ate 1/2 of the pan when it came out of the oven!! Soooo good!
