These are by far the most delicious brownies I have ever had, Paleo or not. Maybe its because I love bananas and they add such a distinct taste to these. I hope you enjoy.

Wow…we loved them…I couldn’t find the blueberries so I subbed craisins with blueberry juice…I read that we can use fresh blueberries so I will definitely do that next time!!! And there WILL be a next time!!!
It’s been 7 months of Paleo/primal (and some pretty mediocre baking results) but these are by far the best brownies ever! I think they’re even better than the pre-primal brownies. Thank you — love your recipes and daily psts!
Woohoo thank you Karen, that made my morning
Made a batch last night and these were incredible. I would make them more often if Almond butter and dried blueberries weren’t so expensive. I will be trying many many more of your recipes.
You can always use fresh blueberries
does it have to be dried blueberries? or can they be fresh?
They sure can be fresh :) Enjoy
We made them with fresh blueberries tonight and they turned out great.
Care to share, I am hungry now lol
Made these for Thanksgiving and they tasted great and were a big hit! No one could believe they were banana blueberry. Sadly though i think my pan was SLIGHTLY smaller so these rose insanely, looked more like a chocolate cake. b/c it was a smaller pan, I had to cook them a little longer than planned and accidentally burned the bottoms. Luckily my family isn’t too picky so they ate around it. Will def be making these again!
Glad that you all loved them. Thank you so much for coming and leaving me comments on everything you make
Ok to use local honey instead of raw organic?
Yes it is
Does it have to be raw organic honey? Can I use local honey, worry about the consistency. Want to make them right away and only have the local on hand.
You are heaven sent! My 13 year old daughter loves making these brownies and many other recipes from your website. Thanks for all you do! You are really helping her (and my family) make this transition to better eating!
Thank you so much, you just made my day. I am so glad you and your daughter both love my recipes
oh WOW, these were delicious. I ran a nutritional analysis, and if you make 36 servings, they’re only 126 calories per brownie – I left out the dried blueberries. You, sir, have been bookmarked!!
Thank you so much Holly, I am so glad you enjoyed. Hope you get to try more and spread the love
I noticed you chanced agave nectar to raw honey. I’m allergic to honey (I literally break out in hives) so how do you think these would come out with maple syrup instead?
Talia you can use maple syrup as well. I would just start with half and then adjust as you taste it
Can I use nutlex butter?
I don’t know what that is so its up to you
these area amazing!!! i totally love these minus the blueberries
So glad you enjoyed :)
Could you use stevia instead? Would you use a 1/2 cup instead of a whole?
You could but I have never used Stevia so I would recommend maybe starting with 1/4 of a cup and tasting the batter to get it right
How many carbs in a single small square?
I don’t know Kelly, I don’t count any calories or counts and it is a very intensive process to try and get all that info for each recipe. You can go plug the recipe in at fitday.com or mypitnesspal.com and get the info. I hope that helps and hope you enjoy these
Made these yesterday and they are too good I can’t stop eating them, so for this reason I wish I never made them ha
That’s a good reason then lol
Best brownies ever. I added walnuts and they turned out amazing
Awesome so glad you liked them
Just made them and WOW!! Like you said, best brownies I’ve tasted…I couldn’t stop licking the mixer blades while preparing them (I also got cocoa showered …agghh)….though I believe the nutritional stats are a little over the board (well, for someone not in paleo and not exercising enough) because just the almond butter and the agave are super high in calories…and the brownies use 2 cups!!! Anyway, I enjoyed them and am going to share thm with my paleo friends!
What’s the nutritional information ?
I don’t do nutritional information because I don’t count anything for myself. If wanted you could always go to fitday.com or myfitnesspal.com
You are most welcome, thanks for coming to tell me :) Nothing but love :)
hahahaha yeah, sorry that was more of a comment to the person who wanted to just use butter (gross). Just made these….they are aaaaamazing! Thanks for the recipe :-)
Yes almond butter is like peanut butter, except peanuts are a legume so I don't have those while on a Paleo diet.
almond butter is like peanut butter
Not instead of the almond butter no, the almond butter is the base of the brownies
Can you make this with regular butter? Sounds amazing.
Made a double batch of these 2 weeks ago. A single batch makes a lot! They held up great in the fridge and were wonderful warmed up for late night snacking. Grandkids totally loved them and could not get enough!
