Coffee Roasted Chuck Roast

So apparently I have been on a coffee kick so why not do a roast in coffee.  I have still yet to eat it because it is still cooking but it smells amazing so I will trust it comes out great haha.  Enjoy.  Update it was amazing!!!!

 

Coffee Roasted Chuck Roast

Serves: 8
Ingredients
  • 2-3 lb roast of your choice
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 2 cups fresh brewed coffee of your choice
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 onion
  • 8 ounces of mushrooms
Instructions
  1. Brew your coffee
  2. Make 5 deep slits all over your roast and shove the cloves of garlic in it
  3. Rub the meat generously with salt and pepper
  4. Place the roast, mushrooms, and onions in your crockpot
  5. Add coffee
  6. Cook on low for 8 hours or done to your liking.
  7. I am serving mine with roasted green beans with honey and walnuts as well as mashed cauliflower. Enjoy

  1. Do you think this would be good with a bison roast? I already have the bison and I’m trying to come up with a recipe that will please my non-paleo dad.

      1. Does it taste a lot like coffee? My husband doesn’t like coffee. Haha. Why am I considering this recipe? Probably because it sounds good to ME.
